MLK Community March and Festival 2018

Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King

Join 95.9 RnB and H-E-B for the Annual MLK Community March and Festival celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy, Monday, January 15, 2018 at 9 a.m.

Martin Luther King, Junior, lived and left a legacy of helping and serving others from all walks of life, regardless of color or creed. Since 1905, H-E-B has also been committed to diversity, inclusion and giving back to communities across Texas. This month and all year long, join H-E-B in honoring and celebrating the dream of Martin Luther King, Junior, by helping and serving others in your community.

The March starts with a short program at the MLK statue on the University of Texas campus. The March then continues to the south steps of the State Capitol for a short program and marchers will continue on to the historic Huston-Tillotson University, where exciting activities are planned. All businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals are invited to march and celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.

The MLK Community Festival kicks off as soon the marchers arrive on location and will last until 3 p.m.; it will include all types of vendors and local musical artists to make this year’s celebration the best ever! A vendor application can be downloaded for those interested in purchasing booth space. For questions and information, please contact Carol Wright by email or by telephone at (512) 657-3064.
